גם אני חולה מאובדן החמלה.
כבר 17 חודשים אני פונה אליך ומתפלל לעזרתך בעצירת השערורייה הרפואית ההרסנית ביותר בהיסטוריה, שערורייה שפוגעת בילדינו, במשפחותינו ובמוסדות החברה שלנו.
בפרק זמן זה, בני, חברתו, ובת של חבר משפחתי – כולם מרקע דתי-לאומי – החלו בטיפולים “רפואיים” דמויי פרנקנשטיין כדי ללבוש את מאפייני המין השני.
זהו נזק מבוסס אידיאולוגיה, כזה שהדיווחים והפעולות הממשלתיות בשנים האחרונות במדינות מתקדמות ברחבי העולם הראו שאין לו בסיס מדעי איתן או טיפול אמיתי. זוהי הפרה בסיסית של העיקרון שלפיו על רופא “קודם כל, אל תזיק”.
ובמקום שבו הרופאים, מערכות הבריאות ומשרד הבריאות מתעלמים מאחריותם, קיוויתי והתפללתי שוועדת הבריאות של הכנסת תעמוד ותהיה המבוגרים האחראיים בחדר.
אינני רוצה לפקפק בחמלה שלך, אך קל להיות חומל ולהתנשא כשהדבר פופולרי.
אני בשום אופן אינני מתכוון למזער את הסבל האמיתי שחווים חיילינו ומשפחותיהם עקב התנאים הנוראים שמלחמה כופה עליהם.
אבל אני גם רוצה שתכיר בסבלן של המשפחות של אלה שהמערכת מחמירה את מצבם במרדף אחר אידיאולוגיות מעוותות, במקום טיפול חומל אמיתי. אני מבקש ממך לקרוא לדין את אלה שאמורים כבר לדעת טוב יותר, ועדיין – בין אם מתוך זדון או רשלנות – ממשיכים להחמיר את מצבם של ילדינו המבולבלים בזהות המינית שלהם.

I too am sick at a loss of Compassion.
I have been reaching out to you for 17 months praying for your help in stopping the most destructive medical scandal in history, a scandal that is eating at our children, at our families, at the institutions of our society.
In that time, my son, and his girlfriend, and the daughter of a friend of my family—all from dati Leumi backgrounds—have begun Frankenstein-like “medical” treatments to take on the characteristics of the opposite sex.
This is an ideologically based damage, one that the last few years of reports and government actions in advanced countries all over the world has shown has no firm foundation in science or actual care. It is a basic violation of the tenet that a doctor should “do no harm.”
And where the doctors and health systems and ministry of health ignore their responsibilities, I have hoped and prayed that the health committee of the Knesset would stand and be the adults in the room.
I do not want to doubt your compassion, but it is easy to be compassionate and grandstand where it is popular.
I do not in any way intend to minimize the real suffering that our soldiers and families experience because of the terrible conditions that war forces upon them.
But I also want you to acknowledge the suffering of the families of those made sicker by the system in pursuit of twisted ideologies instead of real compassionate care. And I request you to call to account those who should know better by now and still, whether with malice, or negligent disregard, continue to make our gender-confused children even sicker.
Please investigate this.
